The Caregivers ACT Attendance Travel Grant aims to help alleviate some of the financial burden of caregiving responsibilities for STP members to attend this year's STP’s in-person Annual Conference on Teaching (ACT) .
Consistent with our Mission Statement and the Statement on Addressing Systemic Racism and Inequity in STP, we encourage applications from STP members who are from underrepresented groups and have diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Selected STP members will receive $500 to assist with caregiving costs* related to attending the in-person conference. Caregiving is broadly defined and could include the following expenses:
*Eligible expenses must be related to cost incurred by having a care provider (i.e., the money is intended to cover some of the costs of the care provider, not the general conference costs to the STP member).
Please review the policies regarding STP awards and grant programs.
To qualify for the grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
All reimbursable travel expenses must comply with STP's Travel Reimbursement Guidelines.
Applications are due by June 15. Recipients will be announced by July 15.
Submit your application (login required).
Grant recipients must submit a brief report (e.g., 100-200 words) detailing how the funds supported their conference participation. The report is due at the time of your request for travel reimbursement.
We encourage all eligible STP members facing caregiving challenges to apply for this valuable opportunity.
