The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP) Executive Committee is pleased to announce the selection of the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center as the new host for STP’s Graduate Student Teaching Association (GSTA) for the term 2014 -2016.  The Executive Committee thanks Dr. Maureen O’Connor (Graduate Center), Executive Officer of the Doctoral Program in Psychology, for coordinating the application. The Faculty Advisor for the GSTA will be Dr. Patricia Brooks (College of Staten Island). Particularly exciting is the fact that Psychology graduate programs are offered at eight CUNY campusesundefinedThe Graduate Center, Baruch College, Brooklyn College, City College, Hunter College, John Jay College, Queens College and the College of Staten Island. Over 550 students are enrolled in CUNY’s Psychology doctoral programs. CUNY offers a Teaching of Psychology course for graduate students and they sponsor an annual teaching conference. Plans are in the works for expanding the regional liaison program and social media presence. The Executive Committee thanks the University of Georgia GSTA, under the leadership of Dr. Rosemary Phelps (Faculty Advisor), for serving as the host institution for the past three years.
