    SUNY Fredonia, Department of Psychology, is seeking applications for two full-time, tenure track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in Clinical or Counseling Psychology starting Fall 2014. The successful candidates will teach courses at the undergraduate level, maintain an active research program, contribute to curriculum development and refinement, provide academic advising to students, participate on committees, and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession. For each position, some subset of the following courses would constitute the candidate’s teaching responsibilities: Abnormal Psychology, Introduction to Counseling, Multicultural Counseling, Internship Coordination, Human Sexuality, Psychology of Women, Introduction to Psychology, and a course in the candidate’s area of specialization. All requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. preferred) must be completed by August 2014. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a well-developed research program that can involve undergraduate research assistants. For one position, the specific nature of the candidate’s research is open. For the second position, preference will be given to candidates with research in multicultural psychology (e.g., diversity, gender studies, sexuality). Potential for external funding is preferred. Part of the State University of New York, SUNY Fredonia is a selective, primarily residential undergraduate institution.
